Distance Learning Notification
In conjunction with the remote learning necessitated by the coronavirus (COVID-19), we are offering to students an opportunity to interact with teachers via video chat, including using the Google Classroom platform. We will collect certain information about each student who utilizes the service, including but not limited to the student’s name.
We make no guarantees or promises as to the availability, quality, or security of the video conferencing service or the content delivered.
Video conference communications may occur in a one teacher to one student environment, and by allowing students to participate, parents expressly consent to the same.
We ask all parents to provide a quiet, private place for students to participate in remote learning. However, during video conferences, students and sometimes members of the student’s household may be visible/audible to other participants. It is also possible that others in the participant’s household may see or hear the participants.
We may, at our sole discretion, choose to record some or all such video conferences. By allowing your student(s) to utilize the video conferencing service, you perpetually and irrevocably grant to InspireNOLA the absolute right, permission, and license (but no obligation) to record the student’s likeness and/or voice, as well as the rights to use, reproduce, display, and/or distribute, and/or to make derivative works from any of them for educational purposes.
